COMFORT AND DESIGN

The Creative EP510 fit quite tightly on your ears, great for working out in the gym when your body is already in pain – you probably won’t notice them on your ears. However, while using them for light activity you will probably notice them squeezing your ears. This could be a problem for anyone with sensitive ears but not a major downside – the tight fit does keep them in place and they won’t fall out easily. The rugged design makes them quite durable and is sweat resistant – ideal for sports and activity.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound stage is quite impressive for an earphone at this price point. Thumping bass, reasonable highs, and an acceptable midrange, even though a little harsh at times, is tolerable, it won’t shatter your ear-drums, but it could be better. They do sound good for most types of music, but are only one notch above standard stock ear buds in terms of sound quality. If you love your music and demand more from a set of earphones, try some SoundMAGIC or Sennheiser.

ACCESSORIES

The EP510 come with a pair of foam ear cushions which help you achieve a better fit and isolate surrounding noise a bit better, but if you don’t take care of them, they’ll probably end up getting lost.

OVERALL

If you’re on a very tight budget and still want reasonable sound quality and an earphone that will last you for a good number of trips to the gym – go for the EP510. If you can afford a little bit more then try the SoundMAGIC PL30 – a far superior, more comfortable and better value product in our opinion.
