The stealthy all black closed Sennheiser HD 419 circumaural earcups fit around the ear and deliver a secure wearing experience without too much headband clamping force. The non-detachable, single-sided cable (nice for eliminating tangling!) extends from the left earcup and runs about 1.4m to a 3.5mm mini-plug termination.

The Sennheiser HD419 has a low impedance making it very easy to drive from portable sources such as net books, iPod’s and smartphones. The HD419′s are tuned to please bass heads and are really laid back with lots of energy in the lower frequencies but without compromising much of the mids and highs – perfect for hip hop, r’n'b and rap.

Furthermore, these headphones are designed to take a pounding with a lot of durable plastics been used in the construction, and the ear cups are nicely padded as well as the headband. The fully adjustable headband also can bend like crazy, so pretty much unless you deliberately try to twist and break the headband is will take a lot of punishment. We did notice the single sided cabling is quite thin and thought it might damage easily, but it seems to be able to take a fair amount of abuse aswell.
